When preventing occupational diseases caused by breathing air contaminated with harmful dusts, fogs, fumes, mists, gases, smokes, sprays, or vapors; and preventing atmospheric contamination is not possible or feasible; appropriate respirators shall be used as required by OSHA standards.
The employer shall be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a Respiratory Protection Program, with worksite-specific procedures.
