Poster Update Log: Oregon & Federal Poster
Overview
Earlier this year, Oregon updated its Paid Leave notice with required language changes that affect how employers and employees handle unforeseeable leave and health insurance obligations. And effective July 1, 2026, Oregon is increasing its minimum wage rates across all wage zones.
What Changed
Oregon has issued two compliance updates that affect workplace posters. The minimum wage rates increased across all three wage zones effective July 1, 2026. Additionally, the Oregon Paid Leave notice was updated earlier in 2026 to include new required language covering unforeseeable leave notification requirements and clarified health insurance premium responsibilities for employees on leave.
Key Details Included in the Notice
-
Minimum Wage Increase (Effective July 1, 2026):
- Oregon Statewide: $15.50 per hour (up from $15.05)
- Portland / Urban Growth Boundary: $16.80 per hour (up from $16.30)
- Non-Urban Counties: $14.55 per hour (up from $14.05)
- Unforeseeable Leave Requirement: When leave is not foreseeable, employees must notify their employer within 24 hours of leave starting and provide written notice within 3 days of their leave start date.
- Health Insurance Rights Update: The updated notice now clarifies that employees on Paid Leave must continue to pay their portion of health insurance premiums while on leave.
- Mandatory Posting: These are required updates. Employers must replace outdated Oregon posters to reflect the new language and wage rates.
