Description
To ensure that workers in Miami-Dade County, Florida are receiving appropriate wages and benefits, the county requires Living Wage Service Contracts Labor Law Posters in specified workplaces. The goal of these posters is to ensure that workers in Miami-Dade County can actually afford to live there. For companies that hold service contracts with Miami-Dade County, these posters are mandatory. This poster informs employees of the Miami-Dade County Living Wage Ordinance (County Code §2-8.9), which establishes a minimum hourly living wage rate that employees must be paid and the required health benefits that must be provided. In addition to information about employee rights, these posters also include instructions on how to file complaints for underpayment.
This poster is generally required for County Service Contractors and must be posted in a prominent place at the job site where covered employees can easily see it. While some of these laws will supersede state and federal laws, the Miami-Dade County Living Wage Service Contracts Labor Law Poster is an additional requirement, not a replacement for your Federal and Florida posters.
